Jo is a miracle worker - I had read about lymphatic drainage massage but didn’t really know what it involved. When I first went for a treatment I was surprised at how light a touch it was but when I came out I felt like I was floating - so much lighter!!
Jo has also been helping me post surgery and as always she is a delight to go to see - not only brilliant at her job but she has a real passion for it and it shows. And the icing on the cake is she is absolutely fabulous darling too.
Highly recommend - you wont regret it!

Hello and welcome to Trayah - MLD, Lymphoedema & Physical Therapy (Remedial)

cd3f081e-d250-4115-9888-a55d91e8674f.jpg

My name is Jo and I am the mind, body and soul behind the Trayah name both in the UK and  previously Australia.

I am a fully qualified NHS Certified Decongestive Lymphoedema Therapist (DLT) specialising in, and with a passion for, full Lymphoedema and Lipoedema Management.  I am a current member of MLD UK (NHS, Surgeons and GPs refer to me), British Lymphology Society and Lymphoedema Support Network.  I am trained and supported by Lymphoedema Network Wales (NHS) through Swansea Bay Health Board University.  I am also proud to be a referral partner with Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven, Registered Charity No 1171155.  Click on Lymphoedema@Trayah for more information.

I specialise in Clinical Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) massage for those who have Lymphoedema, Lipoedema, have a chronic health condition/chronic pain and also  those who have recently had plastic  surgery.  Please click on MLD@Trayah for more information to see how you could benefit from MLD.

I am also a Physical Therapist (Remedial) so as well as treating a range of conditions, I am also able to improve range of motion, reduce pain and support the muscles for those with heavy limbs affected by oedema (fluid swelling) or who have gone through surgery, including cancer treatment.

I gained my Diploma in Remedial Massage in Australia having studied for 18 months full time, which included performing over 200 hours of actual assessed treatment hours in sports, remedial, deep tissue, stretches, myofascial and trigger point therapy.  I am also qualified to complete thorough assessments including range of motion, visual, postural and orthopaedic in order to address the source of the presenting problem, rather than the symptoms (where appropriate).   To find out more visit Remedial@Trayah.

I am fully insured, licensed with Worcestershire Council, First Aid and CPR qualified and am exceptionally COVID safe with a strict infection control policy.  I am a member of FHT Association and am also on their register that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.  The Accredited Registers quality mark gives extra peace of mind for anyone looking for a complementary healthcare therapist, letting them know that anyone who holds the mark is committed to high standards.  My qualifications are also accepted by private health insurers, should your policy cover massage.

So, as part of my journey and chosen life path, I look forward to welcoming you to Trayah and supporting YOU on your journey to wellness.
